Belinda Taft, LMFT
Belinda obtained her bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Studies from California State University of Fullerton in 2005. She worked with students as a full-time substitute teacher as well as with the Military Exceptional Family Member Program helping families with special needs receive the care they need. As a full-time homemaker, Belinda went back to school to obtain her Master’s degree in Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy completing her degree in 2011.
Belinda moved to Michigan in the summer of 2019 and began the process of becoming licensed in Michigan. She is dedicated to helping individuals, couples, & families work towards healing themselves & forming stronger bonds within their relationships. She works with a variety of clients including Military families, children in foster care & on probation, domestic violence situations, at-risk children & teens, as well as youth & adults in the LGBTQIA+ community. Belinda provides therapy services to clients’ ranging in age from 14 years old to adults. She specializes in sex related concerns such as relational & bedroom concerns, rape, abuse, & sexual/gender identity. She also has experience working with ADHD, Autism, Conduct Disorders, Intermittent Explosive Disorder, Bipolar & other Mood Disorder, Anxiety Disorders and PTSD. Belinda lives with her husband, 2 kids, 2 dogs and 1 cat in Oakland County. She is a Scoutmaster of local Scouts BSA Girl Troup and Treasurer/Committee member for a Scouts BSA Boy Troup. She loves to camp, hike and backpack. When not working, she enjoys doing crafts, playing with her kids and being out in nature.
